Project description
The project consists of two pieces of wood that promote the inclusion of renewable energy and biodiversity in urban spaces. Structurally they are made up of wooden pillars and beams with a polycarbonate cover.
The main issue to be resolved regarding the structures has been the overall stability of the complex and the anchoring to the existing slab. The pillars, sometimes made up of two profiles, intersect each other to give the set more rigidity.
The assembly of the structure was made from structural frameworks executed in the workshop assembled on site. The connections are of two types: by means of metal pins in column-column and column-beam connections and by means of dovetail connections in beam-beam connections.
