Structural report of old “MESA” facilities

Project description

The building object of the report is the old office building of the MESA company facilities (1974). It is intended to assess its capacity to house a teaching use. The structure of the building is resolved by reinforced concrete frames + mixed laminated steel-concrete beams + joist slabs and concrete vaults.

The tasting campaign was designed to learn about the geometry of the foundation and structure and the characteristics of the materials. It should be noted that destructive testing has been combined with a geophysical study using geo-radar.

In the light of the data obtained, a calculation model has been made to verify its behavior in the expected final situation.
