The project addresses the connection between different areas within the Txabarri-El Sol ARI, specifically the streets Nicolás Ormaetxea, Txabarri, and Venticinco de Diciembre, creating a central communal space with tiered seating.
The significant difference in height between the upper and lower streets is resolved with the use of retaining walls and rock embankments set out in a stepped manner on the terrain.
There are two options for pedestrian access: a straight staircase running the full length of the development and two urban lifts, ensuring accessibility.
From a structural perspective, the project faces two main challenges: firstly, resolving the foundations and retaining structures at different levels and with various types; secondly, the design of the lifts and walkways, which are achieved using metal structures.
